The criminal underworld in Key Lake City is governed by mob-style families, each with their armies of goons at their disposal and vast financial resources. While some families form alliances with others, most are antagonistic and it is common for skirmishes between the organizations to flare up all through the city.
The Verducci crime family is one of such organizations, not the largest but clearly among the most dangerous. They employ meta-human enforcers to do their dirty work, making them nearly untouchable.
